Rev. Larry & Barb Nelson founded Millard Alliance Church in 1989 and held the first service on May 14th in a Millard Avenue storefront. MAC met in various Millard locations for 12 years until 2001 when the Adams St building was purchased by the district and leased to the Millard Alliance congregation. In 2007, the body moved to purchase the building from the district and the building was paid off in 2008.

Through many joys and sorrows, Pastor Larry & Barb, along with their 10 children, lovingly pastored the flock under their care. We are eternally grateful for the solid foundation that was laid on the person and character of the Lord Jesus Christ over the decades.  Pastor Larry retired from full-time ministry in December of 2019 after 30 years of  Kingdom ministry at Millard Alliance Church and service with the District Executive Committee (DEXCOM) of the MidaAmerica District of the C&MA. Barb is infectiously joyful and is still actively involved at MAC.

Pastor Larry was promoted to his eternal joy on the 7th of December, 2022 after a battle with Parkinson's.
